 Abstract 
With the development of the society, the era of Big Data has arrived. Big Data concern about large-volume, complex, growing data sets with multiple, autonomous sources and now rapidly expand to all science and engineering domains, including physical, biological and biomedical sciences. Every day, 2.5 quintillion bytes of data are created and 90 percent of the data in the world today were produced within the past two years. Our capability for data generation has never been so powerful and enormous ever since the invention of the information technology in the early 19th century.  As comments keep coming on the Internet and in various news media, can we summarize all types of opinions in different media in a real-time fashion, including updated, cross-referenced discussions by critics? With the number of user of Social Networking Services is increasing rapidly, how can we find the most closed relationship group in this complex dynamic environment? All of which are related to the data mining and information fusion. We will discuss the popular technologies in these filed.

Dr Xia Xie is an Associate Professor in School of Computer Science and Technology, her research field includes: data mining, cloud computing, performance evaluation.
