报告人简介:
  朱松晔博士,男,1978年出生,现任香港理工大学土木与环境工程学系副教授(终身职)。朱博士2007年在美国里海大学(Lehigh University)获得博士学位,其本科与硕士均毕业于同济大学。朱博士主要的研究领域为:结构振动控制、结构健康监测、智能材料与结构以及能量采集(energy harvesting)。朱博士曾在SCI收录的著名学术期刊发表学术论文36篇,并发表国际会议论文60余篇。他是SCI期刊《结构工程进展(Advances in Structural Engineering)》的副主编,同时担任美国土木工程学会香港分会主任。

报告内容简介:
  Post-earthquake permanent deformation has recently been emphasized as a fundamental parameter in structural damage assessment in performance-based earthquake engineering framework. Hence, seismic-resisting self-centering structural systems, which are associated with minimal permanent deformation after earthquakes, have received considerable interest in the past decade. This talk introduces a study on novel self-centering systems taking advantage of shape memory alloys (SMA), including self-centering braced frames and self-centering base isolators. Systematic numerical and experimental investigations have been conducted, including the characterization of SMA materials and devices, the development of constitutive models, the analyses SMA-based seismic-resisting structures, the development of performance-based design methodology, and the shaking table experiment. The results indicate that properly designed seismic-resisting structures with superelastic SMAs can achieve damage-free under frequent earthquakes and design basis earthquakes, and withstand several strong earthquakes without any performance deterioration and need for repair.
