春晖学者专家简介:

Dr. Lijun Deng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta, which he joined in 2013. He received a PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering in 2012 from the University of California, Davis, an MSc and BSc from Tsinghua University, China. Dr. Deng’s research interests cover geotechnical earthquake engineering, foundation engineering, soil-structure interaction, and frozen ground engineering. His research has spanned laboratory-scale testing, full-scale testing, and geotechnical centrifuge modelling. He has published more than 30 journal papers. As a Principal Investigator, he has attracted over 1.3 million CA$ funding from federal agencies and local industry. He received two Editor’s Choice awards from the Canadian Geotechnical Journal. In 2019, he is a Visiting Professor to the Oceans Graduate School at the University of Westetn Australia, supported by the Gledden Senior Visiting Fellowship.


Dr. Yuxiang Chen is an Assistant Professor in Building & Environmental Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta, which he joined in 2015. He received a PhD degree in Building Science and Technology in 2012 from the University of Concordia, Canada. Dr. Chen’s research interests cover sustainable buildings & cities, renewable energy sources and smart architecture. He has published 14 journal papers and 17 conference papers. As a Principal Investigator, he has presided several funding projects from IEA, NREL, KEPCO and other organizations. He is IBPSA-Canada member, ASHRAE member and ISES member. And he is also a common reviewer for journals such as ASHRAE, Energy and Buildings and Building Engineering.


Dr. Cheng Lin is an Assistant Professor in Geotechnical Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Victoria, which he joined in 2016. He received a PhD degree in Civil Engineering in 2012 from the University of Kansas, USA. Dr. Lin’s research interests cover soil-foundation-superstructure interactions, soil erosion & scour, geosythetics reinforced soil, stabilization of contaminated soils and slurried materials. He has published 28 journal papers and 14 conference papers. As a PI or Co-PI, he has presided 5 projects supported by NSERC, CFI, MEOPAR, etc. with a total fund in excess of $350k CAD. He was honored as Outstanding reviewer for ASCE Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering in 2017. And he received Georgia Engineering Awards in 2018. He is also a member of the editorial board of Canadian Geotechnical Journal.
