刘华北,博士 (Ph.D.),男,华中科技大学土木与力学学院教授。刘教授于1996年获河海大学水利水电工程学士学位,于1999年获清华大学水工结构工程硕士学位,于2003年获美国哥伦比亚大学岩土工程博士学位。刘教授在土与结构相互作用、岩土材料本构模型、加筋土结构及岩土结构抗震方面的工作在国际有一定的影响,2000年以来在国际刊物及国内核心刊物上发表学术论文120多篇,其中第一或通讯作者SCI收录论文50多篇。研究成果被国际学者所广泛引用,其SCI收录论文被SCIE数据库论文他引500余次,其SCIEI收录论文在SCOPUS被他引1100余次,其在Web of Science上的H因子为20,在SCOPUS上的H因子为222018年秋)。他是SCI期刊Canadian Geotechnical Journal以及Computers and Geotechnics的编委,同时为ASCE多孔介质力学专业委员会及ASCE土工合成材料专业委员会的委员。他也是中国土木工程学会土力学及岩土工程分会理事、中国土工合成材料协会理事、及中国振动工程学会土动力学专业委员会委员。2014年刘教授获茅以升土力学及岩土工程青年奖。

Prof. Liu holds a Ph.D. degree, ME degree and BE degree from Columbia University, Tsinghua University, and Hohai University, respectively. Prof. Liu's research interests consist of reinforced soil structures, underground structures, geotechnical earthquake engineering, and constitutive modeling. He has published over 70 English journal papers in these areas. His work in these areas is impactful, demonstrated by the number of citations by the international community on Scopus (more than 1100 in Fall 2018) and Web of Science (more than 500 in Fall 2018). His H-index on Scopus is 22 in Fall 2018. Prof. Liu is also an editorial board member of Canadian Geotechnical Journal and Computers and Geotechnics. He serves on two technical committees of ASCE.
